A Dress Form or Duct Tape Dummy, is a home-made bodydouble for sewing projects. It usually looks like a mannequin, but without the limbs and usually without a head. It's made to your own body's measurements so you can measure and pin your outfits while you are planing and sewing them. You can also buy one ready made, but they do not cover all body types and can be rather expensive.

Forms can also be made of one's lower leg for shoe lasps (forms) to be the base or pattern to make shoes or felted shoes/socks on. A form can also be made of one's leg for leg hoes (stocking of a sort).
